AAn enthusiastic Brandon Lagrade was eagerly looking to get into the sport of monster truck racing,
when he purchased the Wild Child monster truck from Scott Brown in November
of 2003. Brandon had been involved with motor sports his entire life along
with running Chiller Specialties, an industrial cooling and heating company.
After playing with 4x4 and dragsters, it was a natural step for Lagrade to
become involved with the monster truck industries.

After purchasing the Wild Child monster truck, which was originally the Bad
Influence of Donny Smith. Wild Child underwent some changes to make it more
competitive on the monster truck circuit. Wild Child made only a few public
appearances and made its racing debut on April 22, 2004 in Ocala, Florida,
where the team hauled it on a open trailer pulled by Brandon's dually.

At the Ocala show, Brandon met the owner of the Sudden Impact monster truck
and learned that the Sudden Impact operation was currently for sale.

The Sudden Impact Race team began its days in a single one stall garage in
Frackville, Pennsylvania. The Sudden Impact competed and slowly worked its
way up the ladder while building a strong fan base. In the end of 2003, the
entire operation was purchased from its original owner. The equipment was
then relocated to Jefferson, Louisiana for a complete overhaul.
The decision was made to campaign 2 Sudden Impact monster trucks, The 2nd
Sudden Impact truck made its first public debut at a K-Mart display in June
of 2004 after an extensive equipment overhaul and cosmetic transformation
from the Wild Child to Sudden Impact. Paint By KAL of Kenner, Louisiana did
an outstanding job painting the 2nd Sudden Impact truck to match the
original monster truck.

In late 2004, Brandon purchased the Pure
Adrenalin monster truck of Randy Brown, this truck was to become the Traxxas
T-Maxx, which would compete on the national Monster Jam TV series from
Florida to Minnesota. In 2005 T-Maxx made it's debut in front of a sold-out
crowd on the USHRA Monster Jam circuit.
In 2004 at a show in Brooksville, Florida,
Brandon met Tim Bush, the former owner and team mate to Charlie Pauken and
the Excaliber monster truck. One thing led to another, and Tim Bush is now
the Head Of Operations, from booking the trucks to building them, Tim Bush
is the key factor of Sudden Impact behind the scenes... for now as Tim is
ready to take to the track.
The agreement was made to bring the fan favorite, Excaliber monster truck
back into action! In 2006, Tim Bush's Excaliber, driven by Sean Duhon made its debut
in January. Reactions spread like wildfire over the internet and
within the monster truck community. The Excaliber body was on the original
Sudden Impact chassis and toured booked solid for an entire year with the
Sudden Impact truck.
To this day, Sudden Impact
owns and operates Excaliber, Chiller, T-Maxx 2 and T-Maxx, alongside the 2 Sudden
Impact monster trucks, with new trucks being built and many ideas being
tossed around, with the option to grow even bigger. Based out of Jefferson,
Louisiana, Sudden Impact Racing's monster trucks perform in over 250 events
per year for Live Nation Motorsports, Image Promotions, The Extreme Monster
Truck Nationals, and Checkered Flag Productions.
To this day, Sudden Impact owns and operates over 5 different monster trucks
with new projects in the works
